Questions

Frequently asked

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on what you'd like to work on. Some athletes come for a handful of sessions around a specific challenge; others prefer ongoing support through a season. We'll agree a plan together and review it regularly.

Is it confidential?

Yes. What you share stays between us, except where there's a concern about your safety or someone else's. For teams, we agree at the start what (if anything) is shared with coaches, and it's never shared with names without your agreement.

Do you work with under-18s?

Yes. For athletes under 18, I'll talk with a parent or guardian at the start and ask for their agreement before we begin.

Can we meet online?

Yes. Sessions work well online, so you can work with me wherever you're based.

What does "trainee" mean?

I'm completing the CASES Sport and Exercise Psychology Accreditation Route, the training that leads to HCPC registration as a Sport and Exercise Psychologist. My work is supervised by a qualified practitioner throughout.
